I've been writing all week. I'm TIRED. I plan on sleeping and hanging out with the wife and dog for the rest o' the weekend. OH, and going to see "Sex and the City." YOU... should think about how spoooooooooky this cool X-FILES 2 trailer looks.

C'mon... you know you're gonna go see it!

Anyone who knows me also knows that I looooooove Mac computers. Yes, I worked on a PC for years and bear PC users no malice. However, if you want to know why I love Macs so much, here's yet another reason:

Oh, and it's a pretty cool video, too.

Actually, they're NIKE shoes... and they're awesome!!!

Yes, you're not dreaming. Now any horror / pop culture fan can purchase their very own pair of "Friday the 13th / Jason Vorhees" tennis shoes. Oh, man, where were these when I was a kid? Well, there's no time like the present. I'm telling you, kids today have no idea how lucky there are. Any crazy pop culture-related item you could ever want is available now. I'm talking dolls, shoes, binders, etc.

All we had were those crappy Mego dolls...

(What am I saying?! I LOVED those dolls. I still have my Flash and Captain Kirk...)

And if getting your JASON on isn't cool enough...

... now you can make your own FREDDY vs. Jason sequel with these even cooler "Nightmare on Elm Street / Freddy Kruger" shoes. I'm ordering both. Are you?

I wonder if they ship overnight...?

I know, I know.

July 25th is a long ways away. Plus, there's a lot of movie fun to digest before then. I haven't seen "Iron Man" yet, but everyone at the office says it's fantastic. Then there's "Indy 4" in just two weeks; we've already got our tix for a Sunday afternoon show. And of course, let's not forget "The Dark Knight." Can't wait for that!!! I'm even excited to visit my old friends Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte. (Oooh, especially Charlotte. Heh.)

But, DUDE... none of those movies are THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE.

OK... stay calm... just eleven more weeks... I can make it, I can make it, I can make it...

Well, someone's been a busy bee!

Check it out, folks. Go now to the NIne Inch Nails website to download their new CD for FREE. Yup, Trent's taking this new tech-ideology seriously and really putting his money where his mouth is.

The new CD is called, "The Slip." Apparently the band finished recording it LAST FRIDAY, mixed it over the weekend, and it went online Monday morning (yesterday) at 12:01am.

I'm four songs in so far, and it's AWESOME. And unlike "Ghosts I-IV," this new collection has vocals. Ooooh, gotta go. Track five just started.

More later...

So it's Barney's first weekend here at Bassrocker Central.

And as you can see, he's quite at home already. It's only Day Six, and already he's figured out that the backyard is HIS turf. Want proof? You should have been here yesterday when the Fat Friendly Squirrel who visits us each week came by to steal bird seed from our feeders. Usually he has his way.

Not yesterday. Mr. Squrrel... meet the New Kid in Town.

Yeah, we won't be seeing much more of that squirrel anymore. Which means the birds might actually get to eat something for a change. Of course, it's not all macho posturing and protecting the hometurf for Barney. As you can see below...

Ah, life is rough...

... one way to make a bass player happy.

Now if I can just figure out how to use the damn thing. I swear, they didn't have this many buttons back in the 80s...

Just who is this cute guy?

He's the newest member of our family, and his name is Barney. After attending a pet adoption fair last weekend, we fell in love with him. Now, Barney has been rescued from a shelter and has his very own place to call home!

Barney's 4 years old, is a Labrador/Sharpey mix, and is suuuuuper friendly. I can't believe someone actually could abandon this lovely, charming, and ridiculously loving animal. Well, Barney's having the last laugh, because he's now got an entire home and groovy backyard to himself. He's only been with us three days, but so far we've found out he likes liver treats, is already partially-trained and extremely intelligent, and that he doesn't like squirrels. He's also great with other doggies.

We're just sooooo happy to have him -- more as Our Life With A Dog unfolds!
